#i have such emotional feelings about the two of them #because kate has lived the last 14 years without her mom #and it’s driven her #defined her #made her lose out on so much of the world because she was so inside of it #and then she dates richard castle #and while martha could never replace johanna #she suddenly has this incredible woman who just LOVES her #and will happily spend time with her when castle isn’t around #there’s something so comforting in knowing that even if kate doesn’t have her mother #she has someone who will love her as one #who will be there to help with kids and questions #and to make her laugh #and to remind her that yeah sometimes life sucks and we lose people #but we also gain people in the most wonderful of ways [x]
