Because you know Rachel would have never given Finn a thought if it hadn’t been for Mr Schue blackmailing him and just like Finn would have never given Rachel a thought if it wasn’t for Glee. Rachel didn’t fall for Finn the boy. She fell for the voice and him being lead.

Puck asking Rachel out had nothing to do with Glee. It would have happened with or without Glee. His mother asked why he couldn’t date a Jewish girl and so he dreamed of Rachel (we already know that she has been on his radar before Glee) and he asked. Imagine what could have been if Mr Schue hadn’t blackmailed Finn into joining.
